Wherever you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here

Welcome to the website of the First United Church of Christ, a community of faith that seeks to love God and love others. We are a diverse and inclusive congregation that welcomes people from all walks of life, backgrounds, and beliefs. We believe that God has a purpose and a plan for each of us, and we want to help you discover and fulfill it. Whether you are looking for a place to worship, to grow spiritually, to serve others, or to connect with others, we invite you to join us. We hope that you will find a home here where you can experience God’s grace and love.

Our Artisan team performs skits with a Christ centered message in a unique way. Rev Alice writes original skits. She is talented and has a way of making Scripture applicable to your life in today’s world. These skits are performed during service and occasionally the team takes them “on the road” to nursing homes and other venues where they can be enjoyed by people who are unable to attend regular worship services.

Our Free Little Library provides books for the community to read and share. In the colder months we add packages of hats, scarves, and gloves for the community. We also collect books to take to prisoners.

Meet Our Worship Team

Join us for our traditional, yet relevant, Worship Service beginning at 10:45 am on Sunday morning. Our Children’s Sunday School is before the service, at 9:30 am. We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. All are welcome at the Lord’s Table. We would be happy to have you join us.

Community Outreach

We support and partner with North Hills Community Food Pantry. We collect a specific item each month and deliver donations to the Food Pantry.

We support Operation Christmas Child every year. We collect shoes, gently used costs and jackets, items for the Men’s Shelter and each year we have a special Angel Tree during Advent to support multiple children’s organizations. Our motto is found in Matthew 24:40…..

And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

Fellowship in many ways:

Sunday School

We have Sunday School for children of all ages. We teach the Word of God in an easy way for children to understand. We offer confirmation classes for young adults, and we have awesome teachers that really connect with the children.

Fellowship - Pot Luck Dinner

Our fellowship includes all sorts of fun activities. We have everything from Potluck dinners to Ax Throwing at the local venue. We enjoy ballgames, the annual Church picnic, dinner meet ups, hiking trips and hayrides. We join together for these fun events and enjoy the fellowship of other members.

Our Mission

REJOICE in our Worship of God.

RENEW our Discipleship Through the Holy Spirit.

RESPOND to God's Will Through Service to Our Neighbor.

REACH Our Community with the Good News of Jesus.

RELATE to Each Other as Family.

OUR VISION

To mirror the image of Christ.

Bible Study

Our Adult Bible study is on Wednesday evenings. We are currently studying “The Chosen.” We watch snippets of the movie and then discuss how this is relevant to our lives. This is an open forum type study and all are welcome.
